Recently I was asked to speak at the
ASP.NET Developer Conference & Expo.
I am not a big fan of public speaking, but since we were the ones putting
on the conference, I figured I should do whatever I could to help out.
That's right... they actually managed to get yours truly up on stage
to speak about migrating from classic ASP to ASP.NET.
For those of you who couldn't attend and listen to me ramble on about
the topic, I figured the least I could do was post the slides.
I feel I should warn you that I write my slides like I write my
articles... each point is going to be either a fragment or a run-on!

The demos were all written by me and presented live during the
session. Feel free to download the code and play with it, but
please realize that they are meant as demos and as such I really
can't offer any support on them. The COM component was written
in VB6. I've not included the compiled version since you'll need
to change the connection string before compiling in order to get
it working. Even if you don't have VB6, you can still do a basic
comparison and get a basic idea of what's going on just by opening the files
in notepad. You can download the code in zip file format from
